Because I can't stand the thought that the lovely place where I grew up would have such hateful people in it. My school had kids of all races and I don't remember having any race issues. We were friends; blacks, hispanics, asians, etc. Our valedictorian was Pakistani...

It just makes me really, really, really, really sad.
